Boneddiges breswyl i Elisabeth I, brenhines Lloegr oedd Jane Dee (née Fromond) (22 Ebrill 1555 – 1604).[1] Ganwyd hi yn Cheam, Surrey i Bartholomew Fromond.[2][3][4] Gan i'w gŵr, y Cymro John Dee, gadw dyddiaduron manwl, gwyddom lawer amdani ac am ei chartref a'i theulu. Mae'n debyg i'w chysylltiadau agos gyda llys Elisabeth 1af (neu'r 'Sidanes' fel y'i gelwid gan Gymry ei hoes) gynorthwyo ei gŵr i gyrraedd ei safle uchel ac agos at y frenhines. Ail-wraig John Dee ydoedd Jane a chafodd wyth o blant.
